Iran short ‘The Role’ to vie in Australia

Iran short film ‘The Role’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 28th edition of Flicker International Film Festival in Australia.

Directed by internationally-celebrated director Farnoush Samadi, ‘The Role’ is to go on the silver screen at the Australian film event.

The 11-minute film narrates the story of a woman who accompanies her husband for an audition. The things that happen at the meeting leads the woman to make an important decision.

Babak Hamidian and his wife Mina Sadati, the ifilm star of ‘Leila’s Loneliness’ are among the cast members of ‘The Role’.

Flickerfest began as a small local festival at the Balmain High School in 1991. Since then it has grown to become Australia’s leading Academy accredited & BAFTA recognised competitive Australian & International Short Film Festival with 1000’s of entries coming from filmmakers across the globe.

The 2019 edition of the event is slated for January 11-20 in Sydney, Australia.
